Welcome to the MURACE Research Mentor Directory
Discover research opportunities across disciplines.
About the Directory
GCSU's Office of Mentored Undergraduate Research & Creative Endeavors (MURACE) developed this directory for students who are interested in getting involved in undergraduate research & creative endeavors. It is designed to help students explore active research areas at GCSU and find faculty mentors who are accepting new student researchers/contributors in upcoming semesters. Mentor profiles are sorted by first name, and each profile includes contact email and information about their research/creative focus. While this is not a comprehensive list of ALL mentors on campus, this list represents mentors of various disciplines who have opted to be included.
Getting Started
1. Browse the directory- Use filters or keywords to find mentors in your area of interest.
2. Review mentor profiles- Click on each profile to view details about each mentor's research.
3. Reach out to potential mentors directly- Email the mentors you are interested in working with to express your interest and ask about available opportunities.
4. Prepare your materials- Be ready to share a resume or coursework and/or complete an application.
Before You Contact a Mentor
Keep in mind that research opportunities vary by department and mentor availability. Some mentors may require prerequisite courses or prior experience, so browse through your options early!
Also, please note that this directory is for GCSU students only.
